What's Included
Professional Instruction, we are BIG on this! Education is what sets us apart. Quality rods and reels, flies, all terminal tackle, shuttle to and from the river or predetermined location, stream side lunch, and non alcoholic drinks.
What's Not Included
Our trips do not include personal fishing gear (waders, wading boots, shoes), gratuities, Montana State Fishing License, Yellowstone Park fishing license, and private water rod fees for spring creeks and lakes. If you need gear we would be happy to help you in arranging accommodations.
Day Of Fishing
The morning of your trip, your guide will pick you up and take you to the river. Once there, you’ll receive a quick lesson on casting, safety and boat etiquette before launching. Your guide will work with you and your experience level to create a memorable and enjoyable day on the water.
On full day floats lunch is provided and takes places roughly halfway through the day. All float trips include a variety of cold beverages available to you throughout the day.
What To Bring
The weather in Montana is notoriously unpredictable, especially in the swing seasons of fall and spring. We highly recommend bringing a rain jacket regardless of the time of year, and something to keep you warm in the morning, and evening chill. A hat and sun protection is recommended. Sunglasses are important to not only see your fly better and prevent eye strain on sunny days, but they offer eye protection as well.
If you have your own fly fishing gear, you are welcome to bring it. We certainly understand the desire to fish beloved fly rods! If you don’t wish to travel with your gear or don’t have any, use ours.
We take pride in providing our clients with high-quality equipment on our guided trips. Everything, from flies to rods, reels and the boat are a cut above, and you can tell the difference immediately.
Guide Gratuities
Guide gratuities are a standard industry practice. We work very hard before and after we meet our clients. Broken Oar Outfitters only hires guides who share our mission. Guides average between $120-150 per trip. If the fishing and weather is tough your guide is working HARD to make sure you have a great time.
Deposit and Cancellation Policy
50% deposit is due to secure your booking, balance to be collected upon your fishing day.
If trip is cancelled prior to 30 days of your scheduled fishing trip, your deposit is fully refunded.
Cancellation made within 30 days of scheduled date will result in a loss of your deposit.
Trip Insurance is a great option when the unexpected happens. We strongly advise giving it consideration.
